Author Vishal & Avir Mehta

Avir Mehta is the creator of Lucas the Lizard. At the age of eight, he began doodling characters and filling small pieces of paper with stories. One of those early sketches became Lucas, a lizard who discovers that his true superpowers are unlocked through mindfulness and self belief.

Lucas is more than a character to Avir – He is Avir.

Many of the ideas in the book came from Avir’s own experiences and he loves creating new worlds, asking big questions, and bringing ideas to life. Through Lucas, he hopes to inspire other children to believe in themselves and the unique gifts they each have to share. Avir lives in Dubai with his parents, his younger sister, Amara, and his dog Booma.

Vishal Mehta is an entrepreneur and business owner in the jewellery manufacturing industry. While his professional life revolves around building businesses, Lucas the Lizard gave him the opportunity to embark on a very different journey with his son. When Avir first shared his ideas and sketches, Vishal helped him shape those thoughts into a story. The book is the result of a creative partnership between father and son, combining Avir’s imagination with Vishal’s guidance and encouragement.
